Science & Ethics Council

Someone has to be able to tell us we are wrong.

The council exists so that the evidence standard on this site is not enforced by the person who profits from it. Members are independent, are not compensated on commercial performance, and may require any claim to be qualified or removed.

Charter

What the council guarantees.

    No claim appears on this site or in the book without a named source and an evidence tier.

  2. 02

    Tier A means convergent human evidence. Tier B means suggestive but limited. Tier C means plausible framework with weak causal support. Contested means the field actively disagrees.

  3. 03

    Contested claims are published with both the critique and the response, never with only the side that flatters us.

  4. 04

    Any member may require a claim to be downgraded, qualified, or removed, and the change is logged publicly.

  5. 05

    No member is compensated in a way that depends on the commercial performance of the system.

  6. 06

    Participant physiology data is never used for ranking, promotion, or termination decisions, and the council reviews that boundary annually.

  7. 07

    If evidence moves against us, we change the claim rather than the wording.

Governance

How a claim gets published.

  1. 01

    Draft

    Any claim intended for the site, book, or curriculum is drafted with a source.

  2. 02

    Tier

    A tier is assigned: A, B, C, or Contested, with the reasoning written down.

  3. 03

    Review

    A council member with relevant expertise reviews the tier and may downgrade it.

  4. 04

    Publish

    The claim enters the public ledger with its tier, source, and review date.

  5. 05

    Revisit

    Claims are re-reviewed annually, or immediately when new evidence lands.
